                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 3500
                   CALHOUN AVENUE, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF
                   CALHOUN AVENUE SOUTHEAST OF EAST 35TH STREET,
                   FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE
                   COMMERCIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located at 3500 Calhoun Avenue, being on
              the northeast line of Calhoun Avenue southeast of East
              35th Street.  Lot 2, block 91, East End Land Company's
              Addition No. 1, as shown by plat of record in plat book
              2, page 22, R.O.H.C., being the property described in
              deed book 3724, page 323, R.O.H.C., said lot having been
              combined with lot 1, said East End Land Company's
              Addition No. 1, by Corrective Plat, as shown by plat of
              record in plat book 45, page 68, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No.
              168A-M-3(part).
             
         from R-2 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.
         	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
